His alarm woke the whole floor. Except him.
In college at RIT, I lived in the room right next to a Deaf student who was also a deep sleeper. His alarm went off every morning, and at night for his night classes. It woke the whole floor. It didn't wake him.
Neighbors went into his room to shut it off. When his door was locked, the RA had to come open it. I went in myself, and I felt bad breaking his privacy. But it had to be done. On finals day, I finished a huge computer engineering project on no sleep.
He wasn't the problem. His alarm was. So I built Touchwake: one alarm, one person. Give it as a gift, not a hint.
